Pathways for Pregnancy & Birth

Ways we can work together in a few supported but intentional pathways. Each was designed to meet different needs, capacities and access pints. We’ll always talk together before deciding what feels right.

Grounded Preparation & Support

This does NOT include birth attendance

This pathway is for those who want ongoing support during pregnancy without in-person birth presence.

It centers preparation, emotional support , and advocacy so you feel steady and informed, even if birth support will come from a partner, family member, or medical team. This may include:

  • Prenatal sessions for education, grounding, and emotional support
  • Space to process fears, decisions, and expectations
  • Support understanding options and informed consent
  • Birth preferences preparations
  • Gentle guidance as pregnancy unfolds

This option is especially supportive if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by information, want continuity and preparation and need a supportive space without committing to birth attendance.

Pregnancy, Birth & Early Postpartum Care

Includes birth support

This pathway is for those who want continuous, relational support through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the first hours after.

Care here is about presence and being steady, calm and responsive during one of the most vulnerable transitions. This may include:

  • Prenatal preparation and emotional support
  • On-Call availability as birth approaches
  • Continuous labor support centered on comfort, pacing, and advocacy
  • Support navigating medical spaces with consent and clarity
  • Gentle presence during the immediate postpartum period

This is not about controlling birth but feeling accompanied.

Virtual Support Pathway

This does NOT include birth attendance

Accessible, flexible and or location-independent

This pathway offers consistent support without physical presence and is designed for accessibility, distance, or scheduling needs.

Virtual care can be just as meaningful, especially when what’s needed most is guidance, grounding, and reassurance. This may include:

  • Prenatal or postpartum video sessions
  • Emotional processing and decision support
  • Education and preparation conversations
  • Advocacy guidance before appointments or birth
  • Continued check-ins during pregnancy or postpartum

This option is well suited for families outside the service area, prioritizing affordability or flexibility or people who feel supported by conversation and connection.
